Disc surgery is a multi-billion dollar industry at a time medical literature has concluded… there’s no correlation between discs and back pain.
I was made aware of the flaws in disc theory when I was going to school, but hey, I’m a student, I’m trying to fit in. So, you forget what doesn’t make sense, and by preaching this worn out theory, I’m in line with the greatest minds in the country.
Now, everyone’s a genius because back and body pain for the masses, is what we call self-limiting. 80-90% of the time it’ll go away in a few days / weeks / months no matter what you do, and respond to all manner of therapy: cortisone, chiropractic, physical therapy, acupuncture, yoga, core strengthening, active release, myofascial release, trigger point, etc.
Then there's chronic pain, and here's the thing: we never know who will turn into a tough chronic case and who won't. But everyone wants to take a shot at you, cause they're batting .800 - .900.
It is said that everything works, and then nothing works.
I could not fix the chronic 10% until I came across a precise leaf rake approach to treating muscles.
That’s right, a leaf rake. Who would have guessed a leaf rake would be the Rosetta Stone to understanding back and body pain?
Only the leaf rake allowed me fix chronic pain conditions I once did not think possible: partial paralysis from a stroke, save people from disc surgery, hip and knee replacement, cauda equina syndrome.
During the process, AMR elicits the very thing doctors look for in examination, and tests like discography, but do not find… which is to hear the patient say, “That's it, that's my problem.”
When you say, “that's it.” That’s it.
It’s in the muscles, we just haven’t been treating them correctly.
If you don’t believe me, ask Dr John Sarno, MD, author of Healing Back Pain, the mind-body connection. He’ll tell you: outside of fracture, infection, cancer, or other exotic disease, there is no correlation between the hard evidence of x-ray and MRI with back and body pain.
In Sarno's book, he invites his colleagues to verify or correct his work, and here’s the missing link: he says, “in the thousands of patients I have examined over the years, rarely have I found the involved muscles to be in spasm.”
And he's right, there is no apparent spasm, but that's where the source of your pain is hiding. I would have you think of underlying spasm as more like shrink-wrap… nothing sticks out. Like dark matter, can’t see it, can’t feel it, I just know it’s there.
Typical muscle therapies are either finger painting, or mashing, and compressing the soil, the leaf rake tills it.
You will agree, there's a difference between a steamroller and a leaf rake? Finger painting and a Rembrandt? If you row a boat but don't take your oars out the water on the way back... it doesn't have the same effect. There's a better way to treat muscles, it solves the mystery of back and body pain.
Science is reproducible. There is no science to our current understanding of back and body pain. The leaf rake is reproducible and makes sense of what we observe.
Simple as a leaf rake, complex as a golf club, the science of back pain lies in the precision of a good stroke.
The worst part about it? It’s work, it’s not magic. Like picking crops, it’s the kind of work you can’t get most people to do.
That is why I seek investors. We need to automate it for the same reason we have harvesters and chainsaws. We need labor saving devices. When that happens, it will decimate the field of disc and joint surgery.
We can be the next Apple, make billions of dollars and bring a revival to the third act of life.
We all know them, people suffering chronic pain. There are so many people out there suffering chronic pain, and you don’t have to. What you need is someone willing to do the work.
You need no prior experience or background in anatomy.
All you need are some boney landmarks and a leaf rake.
Like the game of golf, less than perfect strokes can advance the ball toward the hole.
If you have a friend, a loved one, anyone willing to do the work, the relief your body’s been aching for awaits.

Brian Bronk DC is a chronic pain specialist, and the author of Disc Shmisc, and Advanced Muscle Reconditioning.
I’m not a genius, I came across the leaf rake by accident of fate. I have investigated a zillion techniques of healing as a chiropractor looking for answers. It was at the end of a long road when I was introduced to the leaf rake, and I had the same reaction many of you are right now. I said, "please, don't even go there, I've heard it too many times." I'd had been around the block on muscle therapies, I couldn't imagine anything that radically different, anyone could teach me about how to treat a muscle... I was sure I was doing the same or similar... until i felt the precise form of it... and in one minute, I knew it was better than anything I'd done in my life.
I’ve been exploring “outside the box” for 40 years, and have nothing more to do but to pass it on. I know you can't appreciate it in words. Give me two minutes, I'll alter your every notion of massage and deep muscle therapy.
You’ve seen the commercial where they point out how Amazon, Apple, and Disney all started in a garage? AMR... started in a garage.
AMR consists of 5 principles and a map. Basically, we're going to take a precise leaf rake to the body.
4 principles define the leaf rake, 5th is the thought process: we simply think of a bigger picture than just the spot that hurts, scan the fundamental patterns, and teach you to direct.
AMR says stop analyzing and forget what you think you feel, it will lead you astray. Underlying spasm is like shrink-wrap, nothing sticks out, there is no apparent spasm.
As we scan patterns, your body is gonna to talk to you. You're going tell me what's involved or not involved in your particular condition, because I can't tell. I have reduced myself to a voice-activated robotic arm. I just give you your menu options, it's your job to direct. When you say, "That's it, that's my problem." That's it. It's in the muscles, we just haven't been treating them correctly.

You can’t tell the quality of a stroke by watching. Only when I feel your hands can I offer feedback and demonstrate on you what you’re doing, and what we’re looking for. The science of back pain lies in the precision of a good stroke.
